Most parts of Uganda are going to receive heavier rains in the month of November as compared to October.
This was revealed by Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) in a press statement dated 6th November, 2023.
According to UNMA, the areas that will get more rains are the Lake Victoria Basin, Central Uganda, South Western districts, Mt Elgon and L. Kyoga Basin extending to West Nile.
However, Karamoja sub region and the neighboring areas are expected to receive near normal rains.
The increased rainfall in the month of November is influenced by the current sustained El Nino and positive Indian Ocean Depole which are associated with enhanced rainfall across most parts of the country.
