MBALE CITY: Mbale Heroes Donates 100 Mama Kits to Expectant Mothers

Mbale Heroes Football Club has donated 100 mama kits to expectant mothers at Mbale city.

 

The exercise took place on Sunday at Busamaga Health Center III Located At Busamaga Ward, Industrial City Division In Mbale City.

 

While speaking during the distribution exercise, Andrew Wambi, the chairperson of Mbale Heroes Football Club said that they want to extend their friendship and support to mothers.

 

He adds that most of the health centers don’t have mama kits and the few that have still can’t serve all mothers reason they decided to donate these mama kits.

 

Geoffrey Wanyama, the in charge of Busamaga health center III says that they receive 40 mothers in a month adding that these mama kits have come at the right when the health center has not been having the kits.

 

He adds that they used to get mama kits from National Medical Stores but they are not enough to cover all the mothers who come for antenatal.

 

Wanyama urged other development partners to emulate Mbale heroes by supporting the health center with more mama kits.

 

Agnes Wanda, one of the expectant mothers who received a mama kit expressed her happiness saying she was not having money to buy the kit.

 

She urged the government to increase the number of mama kits in health centers such that all mothers can get.
