A 25-year-old former street child, Musa Musasizi, has been sentenced to a century (100 years) in prison for becoming a serial killer.
Musasizi admitted to the murders of five individuals, including four of his girlfriends and his three-month-old baby girl.
The High Court in Kampala presided over by Justice Margaret Mutonyi today 13th December, 2023 has determined that the long prison term is necessary to protect young women, including his six-year-old daughter.
Ahereza, the first victim, was three months pregnant at the time and had been abandoned by her boyfriend. Musasizi suspected her of being involved with other men, leading to her murder.
Detectives quoted Musasizi as saying that he enjoyed killing the women after having sex with them and found it interesting to witness their struggle to survive.
“I enjoyed killing these women after having sex with them. It was interesting seeing them fighting to keep their life,” Musasizi is quoted by a detective in his statement.
