Relatives of Agnes Nandala who was murdered by her lover this week have gone on rampage damaging properties of the suspected killer, Nathan Nagumba in retaliation.
This week, the body of Nandala, a resident of Butiru village, Butiru Parish, Buwatuwa Sub County was discovered at a nearby stream known as Nabitokholo.
It is alleged that it was Nagumba, her three year lover who murdered her and later dumped the body in Nabitokholo stream after suspecting her to be in love with another man.
According to LCIII chairperson of Buwatuwa Sub County, Sam Kundu, relatives of the deceased descended on properties of Nangumba and slashed all his crops like bananas, coffee, potatoes and later set fire his house on fire on Wednesday, 3rd January, 2024.
Imran Muluga, the Namisindwa Resident District Commissioner has condemned and warned people against taking laws in their hands.
He adds that Nagumba was arrested so the law is going to judge him saying he sees no reason why locals punish him in that way.
