 WORLD/SPORTS

Chelsea Football Club has released a list of ten players who will not be fit enough to face Preston North End at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup third round tie on Sunday.

The ten are injured with only two returning to full team training for reconditioning phase. These are Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka. Players on reconditioning phase are just about 75% fit meaning fielding them would be at increased risk of injury.

According to the Club’s statement issued today, 5th January, 2024, Benoit Badiashile is just beginning his reconditioning phase meaning he is unavailable for selection.

Trevor Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu are all off the radar as they are undergoing rehabilitation program.
