A boda boda rider only identified as Okobuai, a resident of Murem village in Murem Parish Okile Sub County in Kaberamaido District has been knocked dead by a fuso fighter carrying traders and food items to Ochero Market on Monday, 5th Jan 2024.
Okobuai who was riding a motorcycle reg No UEV557L carrying “ajon”, local brew was knocked by a fuso fighter registration number UBJ 382E around Abata village, Kobulubulu Sub county along Kaberamaido Ochero road.
The Fuso was carrying traders from Mbale with their onions and tomatoes taking to Ochero market.
SP David Otabong, the district Police commander Kaberamaido confirmed the incident attributing the cause of the accident to reckless driving.
He said the deceased was riding at terrible speed, overtook the fuso and met another car ahead and turned on the side of the fuso, causing the accident.
Kaberamaido according to police since 1st January has registered two cases of fatal accidents.
