Uganda Police Force (UPF) is encouraging more females to join the Force in its latest drive to recruit 2500 Special Police Constables.
Police is recruiting 2500 police constables who must possess an O’Level Certificate with at least 4 credits of which one must be in English and a pass in Mathematics.
The Advert also puts the age requirements to be between 18 to 23 years only. The Force intends to ensure that the recruits do not possess higher qualifications saying highly qualified personnel usually have a habit of hiding their higher certificates to compete for a lower position and once they get it, they then dig out their higher qualifications to demand for higher positions.
Applicants must also be Ugandans who have to be introduced by LC1 Chairpersons, LCIII Chairpersons and RDCs from the respective districts of recruitment.
The handwritten applications to be handed to Police District Headquarters or Divisional Headquarters must be delivered before 18th February, 2024.
“Impersonation or presentation of forged documents shall lead to arrest and prosecution in Courts of law. Applicants who conceal or provide false information shall be disqualified. Appointment into the Uganda Police Force shall be after completion of the 12 months Police Basic Training. Female candidates are encouraged to apply,” reads the Advert in part.
