The Ministry of Education and Sports has provided an extended a selection exercise to cater for S.4 2023 leavers who would like to join TVET (Technical, Vocational, Education and Training) institutions for Academic year 2024.
This was revealed in a press statement issued on Monday, 19th February, 2024 by the Ministry of Education saying this is due to the delayed release of the UCE 2023 Results.
The official announcement encourages S.4 2023 Leavers interested to join the TVET to submit their applications together with photocopy of Result Slips, a recent passport size photographs to any TVET Institution nearest to the applicant.
The deadline for extended applications is 23rd February, 2024 and the Application Forms can be accessed at TVET institutions across the country, City/Municipal/District Education offices or Ministry of Education Headquarters, Kampala.
The selection exercise has now been set for 26th and 27th February, 2024 at different regional centers across the country.
Ntinda Vocational Institute for Kampala City and Central Uganda, St’ Kizito Technical Institute Madera for Eastern Region, Bobi Polytechnic in Gulu for Northern Uganda and Kakiika Technical Institute, Mbarara for Western.
Vacancies both for government sponsorship and private sponsorship are available in the 27 Technical Institutions spread across the country.
They include Jinja Vocational Training Institute, Kakira Community Training Institute, Nkooko Memorial Training Institute in Mayuge, Abia Memorial Training Institute in Alebtong, Minakulu Training Institute in Oyam, Kitgum Training Institute in Kitgum and Nakawa Vocational Training Institute in Nakawa, Kampala.
