JUST IN: Two Arrested Over Disappearance of Egyptian National in Soroti City

Police in Soroti City West have this afternoon, 26th February, 2024 arrested two people in order to help police to investigate the disappearance of an Egyptian national, Ahmed Zinhom Ibrahim Selim.

 

The suspects were identified as Muhammed Nabil Ali who visited and was last seen with the victim on the night of the disappearance and Mark Kisolo, an employee of the victim who accessed the house on the night and after the disappearance.

 

In a press briefing this afternoon, Oscar Greggory Ageca, the East Kyoga police spokesperson says the arrested suspects are persons of interest.

 

Zinhom was last seen at his residence on the 23/02/2024 in the evening hours with his two friends one identified as Muhammad Nabil Ali, an Egyptian and his other friend whose particulars are not yet known.

 

Ageca says that preliminary findings into the disappearance indicate that on Saturday the 24/02/2024, one Mark Kisolo, an employee of the victim went to his place but instead got the door Padlocked and a key was placed next to the window which he used to open the door and found no one.

 

“A case of disappearance was registered at  Soroti City East Division vide SD Ref 02/25/02/2024 who also recovered the trouser the victim was dressed on the night he was last seen,” said Ageca.
