The Jinja Road Central Police Station (CPS) DPC has shot and critically injured his wife in what sources say could have been a domestic brawl with undertones of extra-marital affairs.
Julius Ahimibisibwe shot at his wife, Anita Namusoke at the arm during an argument at Nabitokolo, Kyengera town council on the night of Monday, 4th March, 2024.
Residents, who gathered to witness what had happened, found the gate heavily barricaded and access denied. Shortly after, Nsangi Police led by DPC Rogers Chebene arrived at the scene and cordoned it off denying residents access.
The injured Namusoke was rushed to Kisubi hospital for treatment.
One resident who spoke to the media said there are rumors that Namusoke was involved in an extra-marital affair with a young man, saying this could have been the cause of the scuffle.
