A 26 year old man and resident of Bubutu Trading Centre Cell, Bubutu Ward, Bubutu Town Council in Namisindwa District has left community members in utter shock after he was caught red-handed mounting a neighbour’s hen.
The incident that occurred today Wednesday, 6th March, 2024 attracted ire from residents saw Kelly Mwagusi narrowly survive being lynched.
According to Sam Mungawu, the Bubutu town council youth chairperson also a neighbour, the incident happened today Wednesday, 6th March, 2024 in the early morning hours.
He says that Mwagusi was caught red handed by a one Sylvia, the owner of the hen mounting it in the chicken farm house.
She made an alarm which attracted neighbours who responded with pangas, sticks and stones with the aim of lynching him but was saved by Fred Masika, the LCI chairperson of Bubutu trading centre cell. He was later taken to Bubutu Police Post.
While speaking to our reporter, Sylvia says that she heard noise from her farm birds prompting her to check them out only to find Mwagusi undressed and sexually abusing the hen.
Fred Masika, the LCI chairperson of Bubutu Trading Centre Cell confirmed the incident saying he saved the suspect by taking him to Bubutu police post but after being beaten by locals.
Emma Bwayo, the Namisindwa district youth male councillor has attributed this to drug abuse and alcoholism.
He urged the government to regulate these energy drinks on the market which are influencing youths to be involved in such acts.
