BREAKING: URA Auctioning Uncleared Vehicles at Mombasa Port, Kenya

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is auctioning uncleared motor vehicles at the Mombasa Port.

URA AUCTION NOTICE

The auctioning follows an earlier notice Published on 13th February, 2024 warning owners of uncleared motor vehicles at the Mombasa Port that had exceeded the statutory clearance period to clear them within 30 days.

 

“This is to alert every interested party that the vehicles that remained uncleared are now up for the URA public auction,” reads URA’s statement.

 

Online viewing of the vehicles is running from 14th -19th March 2024 on singlewindow.go.ug/auction while bidding will run from 20th – 25th March, 2024.

 

Following a call from the URA Commissioner Customs for (Notice Published on 13th February, 2024), this is to alert every interested party that the vehicles that remained uncleared are now up for the URA public auction. The URA public auction is automated.

 

However, successful bidders will have to first pay storage charges before moving the vehicles out of Mombasa Port. Bidders are also required to first pay 10 dollars as administrative fee which is not refundable.
