Two Sironko District NRM Executive members have graduated from Uganda Management Institute, Mbale Branch.
The duo, Kosea Wambaka and Dison Balayo were among those who successfully graduated on Saturday 23rd March, 2024 at UMI Mbale campus located at Malukhu Primary School, Malukhu Ward Industrial City Division in Mbale City
While speaking to this reporter at the ceremony, the two leaders expressed their joy saying that are going to turn the knowledge they have acquired into action to push to change in their communities.
They say that what has been disturbing most district local governments including Sironko is accountability and maladministration leading to underperformance during national ranking.
Kosea who graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration promised to use the knowledge he has acquired for the betterment of his district.
Meanwhile, Bart Magundi Katureebe, the former Chief Justice who presided over the graduation urged graduates of Uganda management institute Mbale to use knowledge they acquired into changing their respective communities.
He made these remarks during the passing out of over three hundred graduates who had successfully finished their studies in post diplomas in different disciplines.
According to Mr. Katureebe, these graduates must use the knowledge they got and change their communities by doing research on different community problems to come up with solutions.
He says that majority of Ugandans have negative way of thinking that going to school is to get a job yet it is to get knowledge and start solving problems in his or her community.
