The LC3 Chairperson of Kamutur Sub County in Bukedea district has bitterly clashed with the Sub County Land Board Chairperson who wants to contest for his seat come 2026.

The Clash between Jackson Ojekede and Paul Outa erupted after the latter expressed interest to contest for the sub county chairperson seat come 2026. This has separated the two parties.

According to Mr. Ojekede, his executive committee has sat and drafted a letter to the Chief Administrative Officer Bukedea through the sub county chief asking the accused land board chairperson to step down from the position of being the sub county land board chairperson.

“I am the one who appointed Mr. Outa together with my executive committee to be the chairperson land board and I have a mandate to re-appoint another person,” said Mr. Ojekede.

Mr. Ojekede also added that being sub county chairperson, his office has a mandate to supervise all the sub county activities.

“I have the right to look at all the sub county activities, so as sub county head jointly with my executive committee, we have outlined the reasons why we are asking Outa to step down from that office,” added Mr. Ojekede.

In the budget layout Yesterday 3rd, April 2024, the sub county council roared against the sub county chairperson and asked him to explain why the chairperson land board committee should resign from his office.

However, Outa says he’s not willing to step down from his position until the sub county council puts in writing reasons for his resignation.

“For me I am set to contest come 2026 for the sub county chairperson seat, I am not afraid of all what he is speaking,” said Mr. Outa.
