Teso Miss Tourism to Plant 25million Trees in Teso, Karamoja

The body of Miss Tourism Teso and trees for life Pungent is still moving on with its sustainable goal of planting over 25million trees in both Teso and Karamoja regions to fight climate change.

 

The partnership was held with CG Engineering consults limited recently to plant 300 fruit and shade trees in Wera Seed Secondary school, Wera Town council in Amuria District.

 

Shillah Aanyu Ogeuna, the C.E.O miss tourism Teso while speaking to this publication over the weekend said the organization intends to recover the lost vegetation that people have destroyed and their journey towards the goal is moving on successfully.

 

Meanwhile, Baxsh Asman working with CG engineering says the reason they partnered with Miss Tourism for this activity is because they are also celebrating 5 years of the company’s existence. He added that they are the right people for climate change fight.

They donated four computers to Wera Seed School and 5 bags of Cement for the construction of the nursery bed, all will be delivered next month.

 

Alison Mary Akello, Miss Tourism Teso together with her other queens while talking to the students, encouraged them to be key ambassadors of environment protectors.

 

Michael Achul, a clan leader in Komolo parish in Ogooma Sub County in Kumi district, says that the tree planting campaign is timely and it can help to revive Teso as a region.

 

However, the teachers headed by their headmistress Hellen Grace Agadi appreciated miss tourism for such a kind initiative of donating them trees to protect the environment.
