Wife to the late Kampala City based businessman, Henry Katanga has been denied bail by the High Court.
High Court judge Isaac Muwata denied bail to Molly Katanga, charged with the murder of her husband, Henry Katanga on Monday, 8th April, 2024.
Molly Katanga has been on remand since January 2024 despite sustaining grave injuries.
Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Samali Wakooli, argued that releasing Katanga on bail was against the interests of justice.
The judge said since the matter has been fixed for hearing, it is in the interest of justice that bail is denied.
She appeared in court via Zoom Technology with a bandage on her head.
Last Wednesday, Molly’s application for bail was heard under tight security after a group of people donning the accused’s T-shirts appeared to want to storm the court room.
Relatives of the late city Business Henry Katanga were seen leaving court with a sigh of relief after Molly was denied bail by court.
