KAMPALA CITY: Police Gives Details of Man Attacked and Captured on CCTV on Wednesday

Police has identified a man who was attacked on Wednesday, 22nd May, 2024 on Ben Kiwanuka Street at approximately 8:00 PM and the attack captured on CCTV.

 

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer Kampala Metropolitan Police, the victim is Mugisha Tomson, 40 years old and a resident of Kyebando.

 

Owoyesigyire says Mugisha was robbed off Shs450,000, a bag containing important documents, keys, and a container.

 

In a statement released today, 23rd May, 2024, Owoyesigyire reveals that police has so far identified and arrested two suspects.

 

“So far, two suspects have been identified and are currently assisting with the ongoing investigations. We are actively working to trace and apprehend all individuals involved and ensure they are brought to justice,” says Owoyesigyire.

 

“We urge members of the public to be vigilant and mindful of their surroundings. If you witness any suspicious activities, please do not hesitate to make an alarm or notify the police immediately,” cautions Owoyesigyire adding that Public cooperation is essential in preventing such incidents and ensuring community safety.
