TORORO: Two Boda Boda Riders Murdered In Double Motorcycle Robberies

A disturbing incident has occurred at Osia swamp, Lwala village, Pajwenda Town Council, Tororo District where two Boda Boda riders were killed and their motorcycles taken away.

 

Police has identified the deceased persons as Omondi Richard and Kirumira Isaac Jimmy all residents of Pajwenda Town Council.

 

According to John Mugwe, the PRO Bukedi South region, the double murders happened on the night of Monday, 17th June, 2024 at an unknown time at Osia swamp.

 

He says the yet to be known assailants took away two motorcycles belonging to the deceased Reg NO. UFB 997Q and UFG 276F.

 

He adds that the incident was reported by a one Akongo Deborah a resident of Kwara Central, Kisoko Sub-County in Tororo District.

 

It’s alleged that on the 18th day of June 2024 at around 8:30AM at Osia swamp, Akongo while in her garden harvesting millet saw the two bodies lying near her garden a distance of about 30 meters between the two bodies.

 

“She alarmed and people gathered and identified the two bodies as Omondi and Kirumira. The above incident was then reported to Magola Police Post,” says Mugwe.

 

This led to the generation of a report that was registered at Magola police Post Vide SD Ref: 05/18/06/2024 and Tororo CRB 520/2024 respectively.

 

At the scene, a stick with fresh suspected blood stains was recovered with the bodies having deep cuts on the heads and bruises with signs of struggle at the scene.

 

Both bodies were conveyed to Tororo Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem.
