Kumi District Medics to Go On Sit-down Strike Over 3 Months Salary Arrears

The health workers of Kumi district local government have threatened to go on a sit-down strike due to unpaid salaries for the last three months.

 

They have given the District until today, 27th June, 2024 to clear the outstanding payments in a letter written on 26th June and addressed to the office of the Chief Administrative Officer Kumi.

 

The Medics warn that if their issue is not resolved by close of business today, 27th June, the strike will begin tomorrow, June 28th, 2024.

 

The health workers are seeking resolution for the unpaid salaries from April to June 2023.

 

The letter is signed by the Kumi District Local Government Health Workers with copies of notification to the LCV, RDC, DHO, and Management Atutur Hospital.
