Former Rubaga Division Deputy RCC and now an Anti-Corruption Activist has been arrested.
Herbert Anderson Burora was arrested in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 2nd July, 2024 at his home in Ntinda, a Kampala City suburb.
Burora who has been very vocal against corruption and especially has taken to lambasting the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among Annette first announced his impending arrest last night when he twitted that his house had been surrounded by armed men.
“My home has been besieged by unknown men who say I should go with them,” Burora tweeted last night.
Information coming in shows that Burora was picked by Policemen attached to Parliament and is to be charged with cyber harassment of the Speaker.
According to family sources, Anderson Burora was picked up at 10:30 pm by plain-clothed men with guns and initially taken to Ntinda police then later Kira.
He is, allegedly, being charged for alleged cyber harassment of Speaker Anita Among whose peace he has disturbed.
In the afternoon, Anderson Burora was transferred from Kira Police Station to CPS Kampala following a search conducted at his home in Ntinda.
