Uganda National Roads Authority has issued a statement showing more than 210 ongoing road projects that will be completed in this FY2024/25.
A statement on X dated 18th July, 2024 names Muyembe – Nakapiripirit 92 Kms road as one of those that will be completed in this Financial Year including its Kms of service roads.
UNRA also says that the 26 Kilometer Tororo—Busia road has been earmarked for completion connecting Tororo through UTRO to Busia inclusive of 18 Kms Mayuge & Busia Town Roads.
The other roads are the Kawuku – Bwerenga Road (6.6 Kms) and 1.6 Km Namugonde—Bugiri road.
Pallisa will have 7.5 Kilometer selected Town Roads completed while Kumi will benefit when 12.2 Kms of selected Town Roads will be completed.
In other areas, UNRA says rRemedial works on Ntungamo—Kabale—Katuna road (65 Kms) among others are also earmarked for completion in this Financial Year.
“Investing in road infrastructure has a profound positive impact on the economy, creating jobs and providing connectivity benefits to local communities,” says UNRA.
