Residents of Bwata B cell, Kagwese Ward, Pallisa Town Council in Pallisa district are still living inshock after one of their slit his wife’s throat accusing her of dishing her goodies to other men.
The shocking incident took place on Sunday morning, 21st July, 2024 when the 32 year old James Bumba beheaded his wife after suspecting her of being in love with another man.
According to Abasa Safu, the LCI chairperson Bwata B cell, locals found the lifeless body of Brenda Balinabyo lying in a pool of blood on Sunday at their home before alerting him. He says, he then informed the police.
The Bukedi North Police Spokesperson, Samuel Semewo says that Balinabyo has been living with a child she bore with another man and that Bumba has been suspecting that his wife was still in love with the father of that child.
He says that they recovered a knife at the scene of crime adding that the body has been taken at Pallisa general hospital for postmortem as police is hunting for the suspect who is currently on the run.
