The Law Development Center has finally given in to public outcry and admitted the 1643 pending applicants for the post graduate diploma in legal practice for academic year 2024/2025.
The good news is contained in a letter written by the LDC Director, Dr. Pamela Tibihikirra- Kalyegira dated 25th September, 2024 and addressed to the Applicants/Guardians and Parents.
Dr. Tibihikirra says the decision to admit the pending applicants was reached after engagements with the government through the Attorney General.
“The government has since then released funds to cater for the 1643 applicants that had not received admission letters for the Academic Year 2024/2025,” reads the circular.
She reveals further that the Admissions Board has ‘admitted all the above applicants for the second intake commencing on the 6th January, 2025.
All the applicants are to receive admission notifications by close of business today, Thursday, 26th September, 2024.
LDC had earlier admitted 597 applicants who had admission offer letters from the previous academic year and only 663 from the fresh applicants leaving out the 1643.
