Mbale Heroes FC has confirmed the appointment of Asaph Mwebaze as their new head coach ahead of today’s match against Lugazi FC in Najjembe. The appointment was confirmed on Tuesday, 15th October, 2024.
The club had been without a head coach for the past two games, both of which ended in losses after the controversial departure of Coach Malinga.
The arrival of Coach Mwebaze has stirred mixed reactions among the club’s leadership and fans. While some are optimistic about the fresh direction, others remain skeptical about what this change means for the future of the team.
Some fans say the club cannot compete in the Uganda Premier League without a head coach and have welcomed Asaph for the second time, after he previously guided the club in the FUFA BIG League .
