Police in Bukedea Central Police Station in Bukedea district have arrested a primary teacher for allegedly defiling a 16 year old girl.

Emmy Lorika, the Bukedea District Police Commander identified the suspect as Alfred Oumo, a teacher of Kotia Primary School in Aligoi Sub County.

Oumo was arrested on Monday, 11th, Nov 2024 by the support of a hand cell phone.

The defiled girl is an orphan and just completed primary seven exams in the same school.

Sam Ojangole, the uncle, told this publication that the accused teacher lured the girl inside his house purportedly for prayers.

“The girl was having a small phone but she didn’t know that her mother had put it on automatic recording, so we got his messages he used to send to the girl,” said Ojangole.

Ojangole further added that on Sunday evening, he called the girl inside his house and used her. This angered neighbours to the extent that they surrounded his house and he was netted red handed.

According to DPC Lorika, the suspect and the victim were subjected for medical examination and there was penetration on the girl.

“We have him inside our cells and his pending to be arraigned before court to answer his charges,” said DPC Lorika.
