Wife to the Deputy Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament has joined the lucrative betting business.
Anita Rukundo wife of deputy speaker Thomas Tayebwa, has applied for a betting license using the name ECO BET LTD, a company with three directors including Paul Jean Rwemalla and Tayari Rides Ltd.
ECO BET LTD will be operated at Fairway, Central Division in Kampala City.
National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board has already received the application from ECO BET LTD and has published a notice dated 8th November, 2024 for any objection and or representation.
“The Board will proceed to consider the application if no representation/objection is lodged with the Board 14 days from publication of this notice unless cause is shown otherwise,” reads the notice in part.
