The Deputy Inspector General of Government has today, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 found the Cilio Health Centre III In-Charge in Terego district red-handed deploying unqualified personnel to treat patients.
Mrs. Anne Twinomugisha Muhairwe is in the West Nile sub-region to among others assess the level of service delivery and engage leaders on matters of anti-corruption.
During one of her spot-checks, Twinomugisha found out that the In-charge of the facility, Dr. Francis Anguzu, was irregularly deploying unqualified staff to attend to patients.
Whereas, Dr. Anguzu apologised and promised never to do such an illegality again, the Deputy IGG has vowed to take action against him.
Afterwards, the Deputy IGG made another spot-check at Addu P/S in Terego district where she found out that most teachers are always absent, leaving learners stranded. She directed Police to investigate the matter and take action. She urged learners to have integrity and avoid corruption.
