A Medical Doctor working at Anaka Government Hospital has been arrested with government drugs and equipment at his private Clinic.
According to a Police statement released today, Tuesday, 17th December, 2024, Dr. Opwonya David, was found with government drugs at his St. Mary’s Medical Center in Gulu City.
Police say, they raided the Private clinic on 10th December, 2024 after a tip off from a whistleblower where they discovered government drugs, a computer and official register book being used at the facility.
Dr. Opwonya was arrested alongside, Simon Okello (Clinical Officer) and Ayot Shalome Proscovia, the facility’s Administrator.
Misuse of government resources is a serious crime.
