The route between Mubende and Kasanda to Kalongo is currently impassable.
This has been revealed by the Spokesperson Traffic Police and Safety, SP Michael Kananura in a statement issued on Monday, December 23, 2024.
Kananura says the road has been affected by the current heavy rains pounding the area.
He says motorists from Kampala to Mubende should use Hoima Road to Kiboga via Kakumiro to Mubende (and vice versa).
Motorists heading to Fort Portal, should proceed to Hoima, Kagadi via Kyenjojo to Fort Portal.
He adds that a joint team from Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and Police is on-site assessing the situation and working on a response.
“Remember to exercise caution & follow all traffic guidelines during your journey,” he says.
