Mama Fiina, also known as Sofia Namutebi, Sylvia Namutebi, a renowned Ugandan traditional herbalist has given a rare interview where she reveals how her daughter, Fiina Junior, should handle her burial.

Mama Fiina who says she has only three children revealed that she has instructed her eldest daughter also called Fiina to ensure that there is no confusion during her burial.

“I have told Fiina not to allow politicians to come to my burial crying crocodile tears on the left eye while the right eye is dry,” adding that such politicians should be told to shut up and mourn quietly.

She also says mourners who over cry in pretense should not be entertained. “I don’t want these mourners who over cry, falling all over the place and yet when porridge gets ready, they stop and ask their children to get cups to pick porridge.”

Mama Fiina is also categorical on her final resting place. “I want to be buried here in my compound (Kampala home) where people can come and get blessings from my tomb, because I will die with my luck.”

She says her daughter should not make the mistake of taking her body to the village for burial where rituals may be done on her body like cutting her finger nails, and smoking pipes mbu for purposes of getting back luck from her. She says her village-mates believe that she went away with all their luck.

She insists, that the only alternative burial site for her is besides her mother adding that should her daughter choose this path, then she has to construct a house around the graveyard, put strong doors and very Hard padlocks.

The no nonsense herbalist insists that her funeral should be peaceful with people merry-making, eating and drinking in plenty.
