Former UPDF’s Armoured Brigade Boss Dies

Col. Badru Kiggwe who retired last year from the Armoured Brigade unit at Kasijagirwa barracks in Masaka district has succumbed to cancer.

 

The devoted Muslim who has been heading Operation Wealth Creation in Kyotera district died on Wednesday 15, January 2025 after battling with cancer for a quite a long period of time.

 

Col. Badru left a legacy wherever he was deployed in the force and retired from the army without any corruption scandal or anything dirty on his name.

 

He could hardly miss daily prayers and made sure he fulfills the five pillars of Islam including performing holy pilgrimage to mecca among others.

 

He will be laid to rest today January 16, 2025 at his ancestral home in Kamengo zone, Mpigi district.

 

A number of high ranking army officers and eminent sheikhs have flocked Kamengo zone to pay tributes to late Col. Badru Kiggwe.
