Uganda Police Force has issued a statement today, 24th January, 2025 that after reviewing security details, it has given a green light for the King Saha Concert to go ahead.
Earlier on Thursday, 23rd January, Police had halted the Concert slated for today at the Lugogo Cricket Oval over security measures.
However, in what looks like a change of stance, the statement says a joint security team met today, Friday, 2th January and reviewed the security measures.
“Today, a joint security team, along with the event organizers and venue managers, have met at the Cricket Oval to re-evaluate how the event can proceed while adhering to previously recommended safety measures,” reads the statement in part.
Following the re-evaluation meeting, it was resolved that the event can go on however, the use of the pavilion will strictly prohibited due to, ‘its structural condition which poses a risk to revelers.”
