Uganda National Examinations Board has released the Project Theme for S.3 students 2025 under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum/Competency Based Curriculum.

In a statement dated Friday, 7th March, 2025, UNEB says the Project Theme is titled, “Utilization of Available Resources for Community Development.”
This theme is to guide all learners and teachers on the projects these students are to undertake in this academic year.

According to Jennifer Kalule – Musamba, the UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer, this is one integrated project that runs from S.3 to S.4 Second Term.
She says that whereas the Project Assessment Framework allows S.1 and S.2 students to carry out simple routine projects which may be done in groups or individually, from S.3 to S.4, learners are to carry out one integrated project.

She says that the achievement level on the project reveals a learner’s creative competency in dealing with actual and contemporary real life situations.
Components of the Project Assessment Instrument are; Project Identification where the learner identifies the problem the project intends to solve, Competency which is a set of demonstrable knowledge, skills, values and behavior that a learner should acquire as a result of their learning experiences.
The others are; Competence which is what a learner knows, understands and can do, and Indicators which are characteristics that a learner displays as evidence for acquiring a Competence.
