The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development is launching Uganda’s first ever government Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station this week.
According to a brief statement issued today, Monday, 10th March, 2025, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development says the launch will be on Wednesday, 12th March 2025.
The launch will be held at Amber House on Kampala Road between 8:00AM to 1:PM.
This follows another launch by a private institution, NCBA Uganda on 30th January, 2025 at its Head Office at Twed Towers in Nakasero.
The launch coincided with the introduction of a Hyundai Kona EV into the bank’s fleet, signaling a shift towards electric mobility within the organization.
