A heavy truck carrying scrap has been involved in a minor crash at Kigombya after Wantone along the Kampala-Jinja Highway in Mukono.
According to the Road Safety and Traffic Police Spokesperson, SP Michael Kananura, the incident that occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, 11th March, 2025 has currently blocked the road halfway and that manual offloading is required, which can only be done during daylight hours.
He says that Traffic flow is significantly impacted, although police are on the scene managing the situation.
He advises Motorists to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
“We urge all motorists to exercise patience, discipline & adhere to the directives of the officers on the ground. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated,” he says.
