Ugandan Musician, Moses Ssali a.ka. Bebe Cool has sued Comedian Alex Muhangi for allegedly pirating his performance videos on his Youtube Channel, alexmuhangicomdeian?si=BJJqCFJOtZJPcBzg.
The Suit has been lodged at Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court, City Hall, under Miscellaneous Cause No. 173 of 2025.
Muhangi has appeared today, Wednesday, 19th March, 2025 at the Chief Magistrate’s Court for an order to access, retrieve, inspect, examine and analyze the content in Links he uploaded on his Youtube Channel.
The purpose for which is to ascertain the total number of views, comments and upload date per link in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright and neighboring Act CAP 222.
This was confirmed by Muhangi himself who posted on his X-Handle saying he is facing a legal situation with Bebe Cool regarding the Comedy Store videos of his performance that he posted ‘on our platforms.’
“Tomorrow (today, Wednesday) at 9 AM, I’ll be appearing in court at City Hall, please join me if you can. Don’t forget your National ID and LC Letter to stand as surety for me. Thank you for your support—it means the world to me. Much love, Alex Muhangi,” he wrote on X.
