The Ministry of Works and Transport says works to Re-program and Maintain the Traffic Lights at the Nkumba Junction are set to commence.
In a statement issued today, Friday, 21st March, 2025, the Ministry says A.O.G Engineering Co. Ltd has mobilized to begin the works that will be completed in 21 days.
The works include; codding and Programming of the Junction Traffic Lights, Excavating & Recovery of the underground signal and power supply of the Decommissioned traffic lights and Configuring & testing of the new traffic light junction programmer.
The project is expected to ensure improved Traffic Flow and Safety especially considering that the junction had become notorious for fatal accidents.
