“I’m happy that you have come to visit my office. This is a modern era, so, we should desist from things that divide people, and focus on those that unite us,” said Ambassador Walusimbi.

He made the remarks while holding discussions with the newly installed Ndiga clan head Lwomwa, Omutaka Lwasi Eria Buzaabo, who called on him at President’s Office, Kampala on Friday, 21st March, 2025.

Their meeting dissected issues to do with uniting and rallying young people to actively participate in development programmes, using environmental friendly practices, conservation of mother nature, and preserving cultural heritage.

The Ambassador implored Omutaka Lwasi to preach unity & socio-economic transformation to his people. He also urged him to instill morals among the masses, saying it is the only way the country and citizens can benefit from the contributions of both institutions.

The meeting also aimed to strengthen collaboration between the office and cultural institution, recognising the significant role that cultural leaders play in promoting national harmony and development.

Omutaka Lwasi thanked the Ambassador for emerging as a beacon of hope and unity, embodying the spirit of progress and solidarity. He added that the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to involve cultural leaders in national development.

Lwasi promised to work hand in hand with the office to preserve & promote the Luganda language, combat harmful cultural practices, and spread wealth, job creation and socio-economic empowerment messages.

As the collaboration kicks off, the two leaders are expected to forge strategies to address cultural and socio-economic challenges, ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage while fostering development.
