A mob of angry Boda boda riders in Budaka District, eastern Uganda, on Thursday, 27th March, 2025 beat a suspected motorcycle thief to death.

The incident occurred at Wilta Travellers Inn in Nakibulu zone, Macholi Ward, Budaka Town Council.

According to Moses Kitiyo Mwanga, the Bukedi North region police commander, the deceased, Fred Naliti, a resident of Petete in Butebo District, allegedly stole a motorcycle with registration number UGJ 899E from Pasire Tif on  Wednesday night.
