Two businessmen from Kawaala Central Zone in Rubaga Division have been arrested by the Kampala Metropolitan Police for allegedly defrauding a British national, John Bridges, of £5,970.

The funds, intended to support orphanage organizations in Uganda, were instead diverted for the suspects’ personal use.

The suspects, identified as Jonathan Kizito, also known as Jona, aged 27, and Titus Kyalimpa, aged 20, are accused of obtaining the money over a four-year period between 2020 and 2024.

They allegedly claimed the funds would benefit the Children of God Orphanage Uganda, but investigations revealed that the money never reached its intended destination.
