The territorial police in Njeru, Buikwe District, have registered a murder case that occurred on March 31, 2025, at around 7:00 PM in Wabusake Village, Wakisi Division.
It is alleged that on the same day, at an unknown time, Pasifiki Manishabe Dominic, a 17-year-old Munyarwanda, went missing from home. His brother, Lushabe Emmanuel, noticed his absence and reported the disappearance to the LC1 Chairperson of Wabusake on April 1, 2025.
A report was circulated, prompting the community to search for the missing boy. On April 2, 2025, around midnight, a woman—the mother of a boy named Sanvu—visited the home of the deceased and provided crucial information.
She stated that on March 31, 2025, at around 4:00 PM, her son Sanvu had seen the suspect, Kamoga Henry, beating and struggling with the deceased in the forest while he was collecting grass for animals. The suspect allegedly warned Sanvu not to reveal what he had witnessed.
According to SP Hellen Butoto, the Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, following this information, Kamoga Henry was arrested and is currently detained at Njeru Police Station.
The deceased, identified as Pasifiki Manishabe Dominic, a peasant and resident of Bugoma Wabusake Village, Kalagala Ward, Wakisi Division, Buikwe District, was found, and his body was taken to Jinja Mortuary for a postmortem examination as investigations continue.
