State House Anti-Corruption Unit in liaison with Criminal Investigations Department has arrested and arraigned before court, the Nakawa Vocational Institute Accountant.
Wampero Samuel who appeared before court today Monday, 14th April, 2025 has been charged with forgery and uttering false documents.
Wampero allegedly forged academic documents, including UCE and UACE certificates from the Uganda National Examination Board, as well as a diploma and bachelor’s transcripts from Makerere University Business School, and Kyambogo University.
He presented these documents to the Education Service Commission in 2004 to secure employment with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Consequently his illegal employment has caused government loss of money in form of salary and allowances he has been earning since 2004.
He has been remanded until April 22, 2025.
