MBALE CITY
The USSSA Bugisu Zone Disciplinary Committee has today Tuesday, April 15, 2025 dismissed a petition by Mbale Progressive School against Nkoma SS over alleged player fraud.
According to Paulo Buyela, the Chairperson of disciplinary committee, the petition was filed just as Nkoma SS was about to play in the finals against Bugisu High School at Mbale Stadium on Sunday.
He says in a dramatic twist, Mbale Progressive has been banned for one year for fielding an impersonator while Nkoma SS has also been disqualified from this year’s tournament for withholding key information about the player, claiming the documents were locked in an inaccessible room.
As a result, Bugisu High School will now face Nabumali High School in the finals at a venue and dates yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph SS will take on Divine College in the third-place playoff on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
