Nina Roz, real name Nina Kankunda, has confirmed that she will be contesting for Sembabule District Woman MP in the 2026 general elections.
Nina Roz made the declaration clear by posting her campaign poster on her X-Handle on Friday, 18th April, 2025, saying for “God and My Country, it is time Twetukireyo.”
Nina Roz intends to run under the National Unity Platform (NUP), whose flag she is most likely to get considering her recent closeness to the Party President, Robert Kyagulanyi, a.k.a Bobi Wine.
She will be tussling it out with NRM’s Mary Begumisa having joined the NUP Party in August 2024.
Nina Roz is a famous Ugandan artist, songwriter, and model who started as a backup dancer but later progressed into becoming one of the country’s leading musicians. She was born and raised in Kibuli-Mutajazi, a suburb of Kampala.
