The founder and reigning Director of Mount Sion Prayer Centre, Bukalango, Monsignor Expedito Magembe has died.
The sad news was broken by Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe, Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese on Friday, 9th May, 2025.
On behalf of the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, I regret to announce the demise of Monsignor Expedito Magembe, Mount Sion Prayer Centre Bukalango. on the 9th of May 2025. Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe – Chancellor; Updates to follow.” Reads the official statement posted on X this morning of Friday, 9th May, 2025.
Monsignor Expedito Magembe made 50 years of dedicated priestly service in July, 2024.
The Cleric, who was previously pronounced dead by Social Media in January, 2025, finally breathed his last today. Details of his death and burial arrangements are yet to be communicated.
