JUST IN! Police Arrests Notorious Congolese Armed Robber in Kampala

Police has arrested a Congolese national suspected to have been involved in a series of robberies and murders across the Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) area, Busoga East, Busoga North, Elgon region, Ssezibwa, and surrounding areas.

 

Imanantireganya Alfadudu, also known as “Congolese was arrested on May 9, 2025, at around 10:00 p.m. at Bulamu Cell, Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District.

 

According to ACP Rusoke Kituuma, the Police Spokesperson, Alfadudu during interrogation by disclosed that he and his associates-identified as Mozy, Mapengo, and others-carried out robberies using a SAR rifle.

 

He further revealed that the weapon was typically hidden at the residence of Ivulungo Bumali in Girigiri Village, Maina Parish, Mpungwe Sub County, Mayuge District, after their criminal activities.

 

Following this information, a joint team of police and sister security agencies proceeded to Mayuge District, where they recovered the SAR rifle from Ivulungo’s house in Girigiri Village.

 

Additional items seized included two hammers, a knife, and jackets. Ivulungo and his wife were taken into custody to assist with ongoing investigations.

 

 

Preliminary findings suggest that the recovered rifle was originally stolen during a robbery in Mukono in October 2024.
