Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale City on Monday, 12th May, 2025, emerged victorious against the defending champions, Airforce from Entebbe, in the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games 1 Rugby 15s category.
The match, played at Busamaga Rugby playground ended with a score of 22-0 in favor of Nkoma SS.
Nabwire Christine and Maureen Giramia both scored a try, while Makhonge Mary scored two tries. Sunday Anirwoth successfully made a conversion.
According to Abubukari Kawanguzi, the head teacher of Nkoma SS, the school will be crowned champions during the closing ceremony today Tuesday, May 13, at Bukedea Comprehensive Stadium, pending the outcome of the ceremony.
