A High Court ruling delivered today, Monday, 26th May, 2025 has dismissed the Kawempe North constituency By Election won by NUP’s Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola.
The ruling made by Judge Namanya Bernard orders the Electoral Commission to conduct fresh elections for position of Member of Parliament for Kawempe North.
Namanya who declared the Seat vacant ordered all parties to the suit to bear their own costs.
The ruling follows an election petition filed by NRM’s Faridah Nambi.
