Former Leader of Opposition under National Unity Platform, Mathias Mpuuga has registered a new political party confirming his departure from Bobi Wine’s NUP.
In a post on X on Monday, 26th May, 2025, Mpuuga reveals that his new Political Party is Democratic Front Party.
Records at the Electoral Commission indicate that the Democratic Front Party is born out of Green Partisan Party (GPP) registered in July 19, 2010 by Mr. Sentongo Muzafalu.
According to a Certificate of Registration issued by the Secretary Electoral Commission on 6th May, 2025, Green Partisan Party changed its name to Democratic Front Party pursuant to provisions of the Political Parties and Organizations Act Cap 178.
Mpuuga says the Democratic Front Party “is a home for logical thinkers, progressive minds, and those who believe in political ethics and disciplined service delivery.”
