State House has launched an investigation into allegations that some Special Forces Command (SFC) soldiers abducted and tortured a boda boda rider.
The allegations that have gone viral on X-Platform were posted by a one Mark Agaba who claims that a few months back, the President’s convoy was passing by and SFC soldiers stopped all motorists and pedestrians.
However, among those stopped was his brother who was rushing home to rescue his pregnant wife who had slipped in the bathroom and needed urgent help. Respecting the security protocols, he decided to park his motorcycle and proceed on foot with intentions of getting another means of transport to take him home.
The boda boda man then proceeded to park his motorcycle at the nearest police station. This is when SFC soldiers pounced on him, beat him up and shoved him into a car’s boot.
According to Agaba, his brother was taken away for two days only to be returned with missing toe nails. To compound matters, his brother lost the baby although the wife is healing.
In response, State House has issued a statement today, Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 saying the SFC has taken deliberate steps to investigate the matter to establish full details.
“Mr. Agaba has been contacted and asked to link up with the said victim with the view of getting any information that could lead to the apprehension of those who could have committed the alleged crime,” reads the statement in part.
The SFC has also instituted an internal probe into the matter and calls upon any member of the public with information related to the incident to avail further details.
